Ratings & Reviews:
**** I just realized that I hadn't rated this!
This is wonderful! I love having the control
over the fattines of the turkey as well as the
spicyness. My only change is adding poultry
seasoning, which I love, and I usually don't
need olive oil since the turkey I generally use
is 93% fat free. This has become a family
staple. I do up to 3 pounds at a time and then
freze it to have on hand for pizza or to throw
into sauces or soups/stews.
Fabulous!! Four star rating!

Italian Turkey Sausage
1 pound pkg. Italian turkey sausage kinks
28 oz. can fire-roasted diced tomatoes
1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
dried oregano and dried basil to taste
10 0z. pkg. frozen broccoli, cooked
1 pound pkg. whole-wheat penne pasta, cooked
(These last 2 ingredients can be cooked quickly in the microwave)
Place sausages over a grill pan over medium heat. Cook until browned and no longer pink in the center, remove from pan and let cool. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine tomatoes with juice and seasoning; bring to a simmer.
Slice sausages into bite-size pieces and add to sauce. Add broccoli and pasta to skillet. Return to a simmer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until heated through. Serves 4 to 6
Enjoy!
